Who we are:B&L Scales, Inc. is a locally operated and family-owned business devoted to the sale, service, and support of scales and meat processing equipment throughout Montana, Wyoming, and the surrounding areas.
Our goal is to provide service and support to our local meat processors, delis, ranchers, grocers, farmers' markets, taxidermists, industrial plants, individuals, and everyone in-between! Our Technicians are licensed with the states of Montana and Wyoming to provide calibration, certification, repair, and placing in service reports for scales of all sizes.

Our Story:B&L Scales, Inc was founded in 1976 by C. Leroy McBride. Leroy began by traveling the state on his Goldwing Motorcycle, pulling a tiny trailer with his tools and necessities; visiting customers, servicing scales and machines, and building his business one stop at a time.
Leroy and his wife, Marie, evolved B&L Scales to encompass the meat processing, taxidermy, and grocer communities in the area. Over the years his reach expanded to all of Montana and Wyoming, and became a notable part in regional groups like the MMPA (Montana Meat Processor's Association) and the MTA (Montana Taxidermist Association). |

Today, the business remains in the family and is run and owned by John and Nikki McFerran. The 40+ year tradition Leroy began of traveling to our customers to supply hands-on support, delivery, and installations continues with John's semi-annual routes to all corners of Montana and Wyoming, as well as parts of Colorado; while Nikki runs and maintains the day-to-day operations of the office, customer service, and product management.
B&L Scales has grown over the years to encompass everything from gram scales to truck scales, meat processing equipment, and a wide range of processing supplies. |
